GIZ-Supported Workshop Strengthens Performance Management at LpWSC

Luapula Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (LpWSC), with sponsorship from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), is conducting a three-day Performance Management Workshop from 5th to 7th August 2026 at Lake Bangweulu Beach Front in Samfya. The workshop has brought together management staff and supervisors to strengthen performance management practices and enhance organizational performance in line with the Company's strategic objectives.

Throughout the workshop, participants have engaged in interactive sessions covering key components of performance management, including the cascading of the Company's strategic objectives into directorate, departmental, managerial, supervisory, and individual performance targets.

The sessions have also focused on performance planning, performance contracts, monitoring and evaluation, performance appraisals, and strengthening the capacity of managers and supervisors to effectively assess, guide, and support their teams.

The workshop is providing a platform for participants to exchange experiences, strengthen leadership and accountability, and reinforce a shared understanding of how individual and departmental performance contributes to the achievement of the Company's overall strategic goals.
