Advancing Sustainable and Affordable Housing Through Strategic Partnerships Luapula Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (LpWSC) is proud to partner with the Zambia National Building Society (ZNBS) to enhance access to clean, safe, and reliable water in one of Luapula Province’s most ambitious housing projects the Mansa Garden Estate. The partnership was officially sealed during a signing ceremony held at Urban Hotel in Lusaka, where a contract was signed for the design, construction, and commissioning of a modern water reticulation system within the ZNBS Mansa Garden Estate. This milestone marks a new chapter in LpWSC’s efforts to support integrated infrastructure development that puts water access at the heart of sustainable housing delivery. Located in Chabala Muwe area of Mansa District, the Mansa Garden Estate is expected to deliver over 500 housing units. Through this collaboration, LpWSC will ensure that every household is connected to a dependable water supply system from the onset affirming our belief that dignified living begins with access to clean water. GIZ and German Embassy Donate 11 New High-Performance Computers to Luapula Water

In a significant move to strengthen digital infrastructure and operational efficiency, Luapula Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited has received a generous donation of eleven (11) state-of-the-art Intel i5 desktop computers. The donation was presented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on behalf of the German Embassy in Zambia. The handover ceremony was presided over by the Managing Director of Luapula Water, a representative of the German Embassy. In his remarks, the Managing Director expressed profound gratitude for the timely support. "This donation is a game-changer for our operational capacity," he stated. "These computers will modernize our administrative functions, data management, and technical reporting systems. Ultimately, this investment directly translates to more reliable, efficient, and transparent water and sanitation services for the communities of Luapula Province." The donation is part of the ongoing development cooperation between Zambia and Germany, focusing on sustainable water resource management and utility reform. The new hardware will address critical IT gaps, enabling Luapula Water staff to leverage modern software solutions, improve billing and customer service systems, and enhance overall project implementation. Piped water transforms Matobwe village in Mansa District

Matobwe village in Mansa District of Luapula Province has been transformed after piped 💧water reached its community for the very first time. Its over 3,000 citizens now have access to safe water supply. This was achieved through the 🇪🇺EU and 🇩🇪Germany funded Nexus Energy and Water Programme for Zambia (NEWZA) and the Just and Climate-Resilient Urbanization and Decentralization in Zambia Programme (CitiZen+D), working in collaboration with Luapula Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (LpWSC), towards the construction of a water supply network. The strong collaboration also involved the community who were also involved in excavation works. Together, these partners invested in constructing a reliable water supply network and directly connected individual households in the village. The new water supply network does not only deliver clean and safe water directly to the households, but has also improved daily life, reducing the burden of water collection and supporting better health and hygiene for the entire community, while contributing to Zambia’s progress towards universal access to water services. LpWSC conduct on-spot water quality checks

Luapula Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (LpWSC) Water Quality Team today 5th December, 2025, visited selected customer households to collect water samples and conduct on-site chlorine tests. These visits were carried out both in response to recent concerns about water discoloration and as part of our routine water quality monitoring programme. During the assessments, our team reassured customers that the water supplied remains within the approved safety and quality standards and that LpWSC value every concern raised, as it helps us continually improve our service delivery. LpWSC Hosts GWOPA and UN-Habitat Delegation Ahead of International Documentary Feature Luapula Water Supply and Sanitation Company (LpWSC) recently hosted a delegation from the Global Water Operators’ Partnerships Alliance (GWOPA) and UN-Habitat in Mansa. The visit aimed to strengthen ongoing collaboration under the Water Operators’ Partnership (WOP) initiative and to capture on-the-ground success stories resulting from the partnership. As part of the visit, the delegation documented the positive impact WOP has had on LpWSC’s operations ranging from improved service delivery and technical capacity to customer engagement. These stories will be featured in a documentary set to be aired this October in Bonn, Germany during the Global Water Operators' Partnership Forum. The feature will showcase how partnerships like WOP are driving transformation in water utilities around the world, with LpWSC highlighted as a model of progress through peer-to-peer cooperation
